Did you think that what is memory? what is computer memory? what is memory of computer? what is non-volatile memory? computer memory units, computer memory definition?
Introduction -
Hello friends all of you heard about computer memory did you know that what is computer memory? & How it is made? Computer is a very important part of our life. Today all work completed via computer, today without computer life doesn't exist.
Did you think that computer's all data where stored, where computer access the data. Behind this a very important role plays by computer memory. So let's talk today about computer memory....
Definition of computer memory -
Computer memory is a device where we can store the data or information for which computer can easily access the data without delay.

Implantation of computer memory?
Computer memory or memory are made from semiconductor metal as like Germanium or Silicon. Where data stores in memory cells. Memory cells store the data in form of bit 0 or 1. Size of computer memory become very small.
The first semiconductor memory was developed as a flip flop circuit in the early 1960 using bipolar transistors.
MOS (Metal Oxide Semiconductor) memory was developed by John Schmidt at Fairchild Semiconductor in 1964.
Kinds of Computer Memory?
Semiconductor memory are most familiar two types memory
1. Volatile memory
2. Non-volatile memory
1. Volatile memory -
Volatile memory is a computer memory that requires power to store the information or data.
Examples of volatile memory - Dynamic Random Access Memory (DRAM), Static Random-Access Memory (SRAM).
2. Non-volatile memory - Non-volatile memory is a memory that not requires the power to store the data or information. Examples of non-volatile memory - Flash memory, ROM, PROM.
3. Semi-volatile memory - Semi-volatile memory is that memory which is work as a Non-volatile memory for a limited time period when power removed.

Computer memory units -
There are several units of computer memory which is described below -
1 kB = 1024 bytes
1MB = 1024 KB
1 GB = 1024 MB
1 TB =1024 GB
1 PB = 1024 TB
where KB - KiloByte
MB - MegaByte
GB - GigaByte
TB - TeraByte
PB - PetaByte
Conclusion -
I hope now you will know that what is computer memory & what is computer memory units? If you have any doubt you can ask me in comment.
